On March 4, Ryan Keberle – the Number one “Rising Star Trombonist” in the latest Down Beat Critics Poll and keystone member in the big bands of Maria Schneider and Darcy James Argue – will release his latest album,Azul Infinito (Infinite Blue) through Dave Douglas’ influential Greenleaf Music. Azul Infinito features Ryan’s stellar group Catharsis, including Chilean vocalist Camila Meza, trumpeter Mike Rodriguez, Peruvian–born bassist Jorge Roeder and drummer Eric Doob. Drawing inspiration from the Southern Hemisphere, the repertoire includes some Keberle originals as well as pieces by Sebastian Cruz, Pedro Giraudo, Ivan Lins, and Emilio Solla.
