As a leader and co–leader on more than three dozen recordings, Hersch has earned eight GRAMMY Award nominations including two for his latest trio album Floating(Palmetto, 2015) in the categories of Best Jazz Album and Best Jazz Solo. Jazz Standard welcomes back this gifted musician to our stage, where Fred Hersch hosts the 10th annual 2016 “Invitation Series” featuring six very special guests fit for such a milestone.

Undoubtedly one of the most affecting vocalists of her generation, evoking comparisons to Betty Carter, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan, Grammy Award-winning Cecile McLorin Salvant has stunned audiences around the world with her clarion tone and impeccable taste. Although she has been associated with many great pianists, her pairing with the masterful accompaniment of Fred Hersch will surely be a night to remember.
