Camila Meza is a glorious triptych of an artist: a gifted songwriter, a captivating vocalist, and a prodigiously talented guitarist. This special Jazz Standard one–nighter heralds the release of her new Sunnyside album Traces, featuring eight new original compositions plus Camila’s interpretations of songs by Stephen Sondheim (“Green Finch and Linnet Bird”), Djavan (“Amazon Farewell”), Victor Jara (“Luchin”), and Jon Brion (“Little Person”). “This album represents the path traced – the moments, hopes and melodies that have marked my journey," says Meza. Her quartet will be joined by special guest Sachal Vasandani, who knocked out Jazz Standard audiences singing with David O’Rourke’s all-star big band, The O’Rourkestra, in our gala Frank Sinatra centennial celebration.
